Clothing: Regardless of season, the temperature in the fortification ranges between 10-11 degrees Celsius (50-52 degrees Fahrenheit). Even in summer, we recommend a jacket. For your comfort, wear walking shoes or hiking boots.
Guided tours: They starts from the meeting place. To reach the entrance of the fortification, you will need to make a 5-10 minutes of walk on a gently inclined trail.
Unfortunately, the facility is not wheelchair accessible.
Refreshments and Dining: The «Restaurant Bergsonne», situated at the road to «Aeschi», serves light meals or snacks, as well as elegant dinners, or is ideal to celebrate festive occasions.
Insurance and Liability: Accident insurance is the responsibility of the visitor. For loss, damage or contamination of valuables, clothes, shoes or other items, we can assume no liability.
Official dates 2016: From February to November on uneven numbered weeks, in Juli and August always on Tuesday at 5 pm meeting point «Inforama Hondrich (Bergbauernschule)».

By car: from Thun or Interlaken use the exit «Spiez» of the highway, continue on the road direction post «Aeschi» up to «Hondrich». (Navi: Hondrich (Spiez), Hofstatt)
Arriving by train: From SBB «Thun» or «Interlaken» at the Station of «Spiez», take the yellow bus (62) to the Stop «Hondrich». 5 minutes of walk to the meeting point «Inforama».
